SAFETY FIRST

I think a lot about safety these days and I honestly believe that everyone needs something different in order to feel safe. There's a meditation I do with my children every night before we go to sleep. It's a very simple meditation, where we make four wishes for ourselves:

May I be happy. May I be safe. May I be well. May I be peaceful and at ease.

These are four general wishes, that work for everyone. I think everyone wants to be happy. But what makes me happy, might make you miserable. There is not one thing working for everyone and every situation.

If you really want to be on the safe side: Follow your own intuition. No one else can know what's right for you. If you can listen to your own intuition and act upon it, then there's no need for approval. It simply doesn't matter if someone thinks you just took a bad decision. You won't be able to explain it, maybe it looks completely weird from the outside. But who cares? You know that it was absolutely right. You can feel it with your whole body and you grow with the decision you took. Your intuition is the only guide you should follow. This should be the first vote to take. To be truthful to yourself.

How can you find your intuition? Sit down every now and then and simply do nothing. Intuition likes silence.

Here's a song that I learned from my dear friend Jacob Handwerker. It's "River song" from Tom Rush. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It's a very soothing and calm song.
